Lorenzo Franco, in arte "Larry", incomincia a studiare il pianoforte all'età di 6 anni.
1990 Entra a far parte della Jazz Studio Orchestra di Bari come voce della Big Band.
1992-1993 Suona a Bruxelles per la "Delegation Permanente de l'Italie au Conseil Atlantique".
1994 - 1995 Vive per circa un anno a Los Angeles dove perfeziona la tecnica vocale e svolge attività concertistica nei Jazz Clubs della West Coast. E' invitato a suonare per l' Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Los Angeles dove incontra il regista Michelangelo Antonioni e Sofia Loren in occasione dell' Oscar alla carriera avuto dal regista nel marzo 1995.
1997 Partecipa come voce dell' Italian Big Band di Marco Renzi alla trasmissione radiofonica "Stasera a Via Asiago" di Adriano Mazzoletti in ben 7 puntate (Rai Stereo Due).
1998 Incontra Nicola Arigliano e suona stabilmente nel suo trio fino ad Agosto dello stesso anno.
1999 La tournèe con l'Italian Big Band negli Emirati Arabi, dove si esibisce al Teatro Nazionale di Abu Dhabi ed a Dubai.
A maggio registra il primo album a suo nome "Nuttin' But Nat" dedicato a Nat King Cole, in cui suonano Franco Cerri, Fabrizio Bosso, Massimo Manzi, Guido Di Leone. Il cd viene presentato da Giuliano Fournier su RADIO SVIZZERA "RETE 1". Nel successivo cd "Dixinitaly" è interprete di un brano di Mario Pogliotti intitolato "Caro Natalino" scelto come sigla di testa di una trasmissione televisiva dedicata al grande Natalino Otto.
2000 La tournèe in Turchia, a Smirne e ad Ankara. A Giugno suona negli Stati Uniti presso il Middlebury College nel Vermont.
A Luglio ed Agosto partecipa tra gli altri, al Festival Jazz di Verona in cui si esibisce sullo stesso palco insieme a Natalie Cole ed Herbie Hancock.
2001 La tounèe in Etiopia ad Addis Abeba.
2002 A Marzo ritorna in Turchia per la 9° edizione del Festival Jazz Europeo di Izmir e suona presso l' Università di Ankara e ad Istanbul nel Teatro dell'Istituto Italiano di Cultura e registra altri due cd: "Christmas Songs" e "Dixinitaly 2".
2003 A febbraio il tour in India, suonando nel prestigioso Kala Ghoda Art Festival di Bombay (Mumbai) ed al Kamani Auditorium di New Delhi. A giugno il tour in Grecia a Patrasso, Atene (al teatro Megaro Mousikis) e a Salonicco (Mylos).
In estate partecipa ai Festival Jazz di Rimini, Terni e di Livorno. Il 2 luglio si reca negli Stati Uniti reinvitato dal Middlebury College nel Vermont per tenere un concerto nella prestigiosa Università Americana. Il 2 agosto rende omaggio a Natalino Otto nella sua città natìa, Cogoleto (Ge) accompagnato dall' Orchestra "The Nine Pennies". Nel dicembre 2003 registra a New York con Dado Moroni (p), Ira Coleman (cb) e Jimmy Cobb (dr). (Introducing Larry Franco, Jazz Singer… ! Philology W718). A dicembre Suona per la Camerata Musicale Barese.
2004 A marzo prende parte al Premio Intenazionale “Massimo Urbani” a Camerino.
Ad Aprile il tour italiano dedicato a Nat King Cole con Franco Cerri, Dado Moroni e Ira Coleman.
A Maggio il tour in Marocco con la Dixinitaly Jazz Band. Concerti al Teatro Mohamed V ed al Royal Golf Club di Rabat.
A Giugno suona al Festival Jazz di Terni come leader dell’ Italian Jazz Ensemble con Daniele Scannapieco.
A Luglio prende parte a numerosi Festival Jazz Italiani ed ad una puntata della Trasmissione su Rai Uno – Linea Blu. Dal 11 al 15 novembre va in Tour in Romania con il suo quartetto effettuando un concerto a Bucarest per l'Istituto Italiano di Cultura e prende parte ad una trasmissione televisiva della televisione di stato la "Tvr". Dal 20 al 23 novembre il tour in Tunisia dove tiene un concerto al Teatro"Quadriàme Art" di Tunisi organizzato dall’Istituto Italiano di Cultura.
A dicembre il tour in Italia dedicato a Gerry Mulligan con Gary Smulyan, Ira Coleman, Bepi D'Amato, Michele Carrabba ed Enzo Lanzo.
Sempre a dicembre la realizzazione di un suo nuovo CD sempre per la Philology, realizzato con la sua ultima formazione: l'Italian Jazz Ensemble dal titolo omonimo. (Philology W730).
2005 A Febbraio la partecipazione al "Dubai International Jazz Festival" con il suo quartetto (Scannapieco-Bassi-Lanzo). A Marzo un nuovo tour dedicato a Gorni Kramer e Natalino Otto con Franco Cerri. Ad Aprile partecipa all' Abu Dhabi International Jazz Festival con il suo settetto. A settembre suona a Ischia Jazz Festival (by Umbria Jazz). In Ottobre effettua un Tour in Australia partecipando al Manly International Jazz Festival di Sydney, al Kyneton Jazz Festival e all' Italian Jazz In Melbourne, proseguendo il tour con concerti a Hong Kong. A dicembre il nuovo CD “Import Export” per Philology (W607) in quartetto (M. Carrabba, I. De Marinis, E. Lanzo).
2006 A Gennaio nasce una nuova collaborazione con l'ex trio di Nicola Arigliano (Ascolese, Vannucchi, Tatti) e suona a Orvieto Jazz. Sempre a Gennaio suona per La Camerata Musicale Sulmonese. A febbraio un concerto nella rassegna "Sinatra Days" al Teatro Filarmonico di Verona con L'Italian Jazz Ensemble. Dal 6 al 10 Marzo il nuovo quartetto (Franco - Carrabba - De Marinis - Lanzo) suona al "Dubai International Jazz Festival", ad Aprile al Terni Jazz In Spring e a Maggio dal 6 all' 11 all' Europafest di Bucarest sponsorizzati dall' Istituto Italiano di Cultura. A settembre partecipa alla Stagione Concertistica di “Barattelli Concerti” all’ Aquila in quartetto con Bepi D’Amato. Ad ottobre 2006 effettua un tour in Giappone con concerti allo Yokohama Jazz Promenade e Tokyo presso L’Auditorium “Umberto Agnelli” dell’ Istituto Italiano di Cultura. A novembre una tournee’ a Cuba per la IX settimana della Cultura su invito dell’Ambasciata Italiana dell’ Avana e a dicembre la partecipazione al Festival Internazionale del Cinema a Marrakech in Marocco per conto dell’ Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Rabat e un concerto a Casablanca al Teatro Italia del Consolato Italiano.
2007 A Marzo partecipa al Java Jazz International di Jakarta e al "Dubai International Jazz Festival".A Maggio ritorna per la terza volta in Romania per l’Europafest dove è presidente della giuria del Concorso Internazionale di Jazz. Il 16 Maggio tiene un concerto a Tirana (Albania) per la Stagione Musicale "Klasik" sposorizzato dall'Istituto Italiano di Cultura. Il 1 giugno suona al Teatro Italia di Casablanca per la Festa della Repubblica Italiana su invito del Consolato Generale d'Italia e della Società Dante Alighieri di Casablanca. Il 24 giugno suona per “Aosta Classica” in una serata d’onore presentata da Piero Angela e dedicata all’autore scomparso Mario Pogliotti. Poi al Festival Jazz di Macerata e al Festival Jazz dell’Onyx di Matera. A novembre torna a Cuba con il suo Quartetto per la X settimana della Cultura Italiana all'Avana dal 26 novembre al 3 dicembre, con il patrocinio e finanziamento dalla Regione Puglia. In uscita a novembre due nuovi CD: Two In One (Piano Elegy), un disco di voce e pianoforte con Franco D’Andrea, Dado Moroni, Renato Sellani, Nico Morelli, Antonello Vannucchi, Eddy Olivieri, Giorgio Cuscito – Philology W 361, e “A Crooner In The Land Of Dixie” con la sua nuova band di Jazz Tradizionale : Larry Franco Jazz Society per Philology W362.
2008 A gennaio suona in Romania a Suceava con Eldad Tarmu Jazz Ensemble, in primavera ricostituisce il trio “Nat King Cole” e registra un cd Live in un concerto alla Fioreria a Reggio Calabria. A Giugno suona per la Festa della Repubblica Italiana a Friburgo in Brisgovia per il Consolato Italiano con il suo quartetto e poi con la Jazz Society partecipa al Festival Internazionale di Jazz Tradizionale di Ascona (Svizzera). A luglio vince L’ ITALIAN JAZZ AWARDS – Luca Flores come “BEST JAZZ SINGER 2008”. In uscita in autunno due nuovi CD: il tributo “live” a Nat King Cole “3 for Nat” e un disco “All Of Me” in trio più diversi solisti (Andy Gravish, Daniele Scannapieco, Bepi D’Amato, Michele Carrabba, Guido Di Leone, Ilario De Marinis sempre editi per la Philology Jazz Records. A Ottobre effettua un concerto dal tema “Omaggio a Gorni Kramer” a Casablanca nel Teatro Italia per L’Associazione Dante Alighieri e il Consolato Italiano. A novembre, fa un omaggio a Sinatra accompagnato dall’ Orchestra Sinfonica della Rai a Torino diretta da Giancarlo Gazzani, poi il terzo ritorno a Cuba con il suo quartetto per la XI Settimana Italiana della Cultura all’ Avana con il programma “Omaggio a Gorni Kramer”. Sarà al Blue Note di Milano il 23 dicembre con il suo trio “drumless”.
2009 A gennaio suona in Albania al Take Five Jazz Club, il 5 maggio suona al Rottweil Jazz Festival (città gemellata con l'Aquila) per un concerto di beneficenza per raccogliere fondi per i terremotati dell' Aquila e successivamente, su invito dell' Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Sofia, il 19 giugno tiene un concerto con il suo quartetto in Bulgaria per la manifestazione "Qui Italia". A Luglio suona nell' ambito degli eventi musicali previsti, sul palco dei Giochi Del Mediterraneo "Pescara 2009" e successivamente viene invitato con la nuova formazione "Little Big Band" a suonare per il G8 in Abruzzo. Suona per Sanremo Jazz Festival il 17 agosto e per Sorrento Jazz Festival il 2 Settembre. Sempre a Settembre prende parte alla VI edizione di Pugljazz (Festival Jazz di Trani) presentando il nuovo progetto "Import-Export 2" con Ilario De Marinis, Michael Rosen e John Arnold (U.S.A). A Ottobre presenta il progetto "Omaggio a Frank Sinatra" - "Dear Frank" con la nuova "Little Big Band" allo Sheraton Nicolaus di Bari per la Camerata Musicale Barese, nel concerto "vernice"
A Novembre suona a Cuba (dal 20 al 25) per la XII° edizione della Settimana della Cultura Italiana all' Avana con il suo trio con il trombettista cubano Yasek Manzano. Successivamente il 27 novembre partecipa al prestigioso Jazz Festival Francese "Jazz En Nord" con un nuovo quintetto (Renato D'Aiello, Andrea Marcelli, Guido Di Leone e Ilario De Marinis). Prosegue il tour a Charleroi e Liegi in Belgio. A Dicembre tiene dei concerti a Londra con Renato D'Aiello.
Il 27 dicembre suona a Bad Sackingen in Germania per il Consolato Italiano di Friburgo.
2010 A Marzo effettua una tournèe in Siria (6 marzo Saint Elian Cultural Festival nella città di Homs) per conto dell' Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Damasco, poi dal 20 al 25 marzo una tournèe in Svezia effettuando 6 concerti tra cui il Festival Jazz di Vasteras presso la Vasteras Konsethaus. Registra dal vivo il nuovo progetto "Fahrenheit" (C'era Una Volta il Night) a Siderno (Reggio Calabria) dedicato a Nicola Arigliano (Philology W741) con la nuova formazione "Larry Franco Swingtet" (note di copertina di  Renzo Arbore) A Luglio sarà al Festival Jazz di Ascona con il suo drumless trio e Michael Supnick.

Lorenzo Franco, in art "Larry", starts to study piano at 6 years old.
1990 He started his Crooner's carrier in the Jazz Sudio Orchestra from Bari.
1992 - 1993 Performed in Bruxelles for the "Delegation Permanente de l 'Italie au Conseil Atlantique".
1994 - 1995 Moved to Los Angeles for one year and studied vocal technique with Gene Merlino. In L.A. performed in several Jazz Clubs of West Coast. Performed by the Italian Institute Of Culture of Los Angeles where he met the movie director Michelangelo Antonioni and Sofia Loren in the occasion of the Oscar Nomination of Michelangelo Antonioni carrier on march 1995.
1997 Performed as crooner of the Italian Big Band of Marco Renzi at the National Radio Network "Stasera a Via Asiago"conducted by Adriano Mazzoletti (Rai Stereo Due).
1998 He met Nicola Arigliano the well know Italian crooner, and played piano in his trio till August of the same year.
1999 He toured with the Italian Big Band in the Arab Emirates, performing by the National Theatre of Abu Dhabi and by the Crown Plaza Hotel in Dubai.
On May he recorded "Nuttin' But Nat" dedicated to Nat King Cole, with Franco Cerri, Fabrizio Bosso, Massimo Manzi, Guido Di Leone. The Cd was introduced in the Europe scene by Giuliano Fournier on RADIO SVIZZERA "RETE 1". The same year he also recorded another CD called “Dixinitaly” with his traditional Jazz Band.
2000 He toured the Turkey, performing at Izmir and Ankara. On June he performer by the Middlebury College in Vermont (U.S.A). During the summer partecipated at Verona Jazz Festival sharing the same stage togheter with Natalie Cole and Herbie Hancock.

On december performed by the Camerata Musicale Barese in the Classical Season.
2004 On march he partecipated at Camerino International Jazz Competition. On Aprile 2004 the Nat King Cole tour with Franco Cerri, Dado Moroni and Ira Coleman. On May he toured in Marocco perfoming in Rabat at Mohamed V Theatre and by the Royal Golf Club for a Gala Dinner. On June he performer at Terni Jazz Festival with Daniele Scannapieco, and during the summer performing for several Jazz Festival in Italy and took part in a Tv Show of the Italian National Tv Rai Uno called “Linea Blu”. On November 11-15 he toured in Romania performing with his quartet in Bucharest for the Italian Institute of Culture and he took part in a Rumanian TV Show “TVR. From 20 to 23 november he performer by the "Quadriàme Art" in Tunisi for the Italian Institute of Culture. On december he toured Italy with Gary Smulyan, Ira Coleman, Bepi D'Amato, Michele Carrabba ed Enzo Lanzo for a tribute to Gerry Mulligan. Also in december recorded a new CD by Philology, with a new band, the Italian Jazz Ensemble.
2005 On February he participated at “Dubai International Jazz Festival” with his quartet (D.Scannapieco-G.Bassi-E.Lanzo). In march a tour dedicated to Gorni Kramer e Natalino Otto with Franco Cerri. On April he partecipated at Abu Dhabi International Jazz Festival. On September he performed at Ischia Jazz Festival (by Umbria Jazz). On October a very important and long tour of 20 days in Australia performing at Manly International Jazz Festival close to Sydney, at Kyneton Jazz festival and at the Italian Jazz festival in Melbourne. After Australia, going back home, he performed by the Country Club in Hong Kong. In December recorded the new CD “Import Export” by Philology (W607) in quartet (M. Carrabba, I. De Marinis, E. Lanzo).
2006 On January performer by the Camerata Musicale Sulmonese, on February performed for "Sinatra Days" by the Verona Philarmonic Theatre. On March he performed at Orvieto Jazz and again at the Dubai International Jazz Festival from 6 to 10 March. On April performed at Terni Jazz In Spring and from 6 to 11 May at Europafest in Bucharest sponsored by the Italian Institute of Culture. On September performer for “Barattelli Concerti” at l’Aquila in quartet with Bepi D’Amato. On October 2006 performed in Japan at the Yokohama Jazz Promenade and Tokyo by the Italian Institute Of Culture’s Auditorium “Umberto Agnelli”. On November he toured Cuba partecipating at the “IX settimana della Cultura” invited by the Italian Embassy of Havana. On december partecipated at the International Movie Festival in Marrakech Marocco sponsored by the Rabat Italian Institute of Culture and performing also at Teatro Italia in Casablanca for the Dante Alighieri Association and the Italian Consulate in Casabalanca.

On the 16th May he performer in Tirana (Albania) for "Klasik" Music Season sposorized by the Italian Institute of Culture. On the 1st of June he performed in Casablanca for the Celebration Day of the Italian Republic invited by the Italian Consulate of Italy and by the Dante Alighieri Association. On the 24th of June performed for “Aosta
Classica” in a special evening concert dedicated to Mario Pogliotti and presented by the very famous Tv conductor Piero Angela. Than performed at Macerata Jazz Festival and Onyx Jazz Festival in Matera. On November 26th to the 3rd of december he came back to Cuba for the “X settimana della Cultura Italiana all' Avana” Sponsored by the Puglia Region. In November also two new cds : Two In One (Piano Elegy), just piano and voice with on pianos, Franco D’Andrea, Dado Moroni, Renato Sellani, Nico Morelli, Antonello Vannucchi, Eddy Olivieri, Giorgio Cuscito – Philology W 361, and “A Crooner In The Land Of Dixie - Philology W 362” with his new traditional Jazz band : The Larry Franco’s Jazz Society.
2008 On January performer in Romania at Suceava with the Eldad Tarmu Jazz Ensemble, later in spring he put togheter the olf trio in “Nat King Cole” style and recorded a new live Cd during a concert at the Fioreria in Reggio Calabria. Than by the end of June he participated at Ascona Jazz Festival in Switzerland with the Jazz Society. On July he is winner of The ITALIAN JAZZ AWARDS – Luca Flores as “BEST JAZZ SINGER 2008” and performed at Sanremo Jazz where he received the Award. Coming soon in the fall 2 new Cds : the Nat King Cole tribute live recorded“ 3 for Nat” and “All Of Me” another cd made with trio plus some soloists (Andy Gravish, Daniele Scannapieco, Bepi D’Amato, Michele Carrabba, Guido Di Leone) by Philology Jazz Records. On October he performed in Casablanca at Teatro Italia with his new project dedicated to Gorni Kramer (the very well know Italian Orchestra’s conductor of the ’50) for the Italian Consulate and the Dante Alighieri Association. On November he will be back in Ascona by the Jazz Cat Club and to Cuba for the “XI Settimana Italiana della Cultura” with a new quartet (G.Di Leone, G.Ascolese, I.De Marinis). In November 16th he has been invited to sing “Sinatra” repertoire at the Rai
Auditorium in Torino with the Rai Symphonic Orchestra, sharing the stage with Ray Gelato. In November toured for the tird time CUBA performing at National Theatre “Belle Artes” in Havana. In December performed at BLUE NOTE Milan with his trio.
2009 On January performed at Take Five Jazz Club in Tirana (Albania), the 5th of May performed at Rottweil Jazz Fest for a benefit concert for support l'Aquila's Heartquake. On the 19th of June performed in Sofia (Bulgaria) for the Italian week of Culture "Qui Italia" invited by the Italian Institute of Culture. In July performed for the "Mediterranean Olympic Games "Pescara 2009 in Chieti Mediterranean Village, than on the 9th of July performed for the G8 in a concert dedicated with his new "Little Big Band. He performed at Sanremo Jazz festival on the 17th of August and at Sorrento Jazz festival on the 2nd of September. In September he performed at the 6th edition of "Pugljazz" Jazz Festival in Trani (Bari) with his renewed project "Import Export 2" with Michael Rosen, John Arnold and Ilario De Marinis. In October he performed for the "Camerata Musicale Barese" by the Sheraton Hotel in Bari in a Frank Sinatra's tribute with his new Little Bid Band. In November he will perform for the XII Week Of Italian Culture in Cuba and to the "Jazz En Nord" Festival in France with a new quintet (Renato D'Aiello, Andrea Marcelli, Guido Di Leone e Ilario De Marinis). Than some concerts in Belgium (Charleroi - Liegi). In December will perform in London with Renato D'Aiello.
2010 Those Tours are announced : Syria (5-8) and Sweden (19-25) in March, Ascona Jazz Festival in Switzeland in July (2-4) - On 29th of April he recorded a live cd in Siderno (Reggio Calabria) Fahrenheit around the Night Club's Italian Music, dedicated to Nicola Arigliano. (philology W741)
